A claim for an injury from an accident involving an illegal rubbish dump will require the services of Chorley no win no fee lawyers

The town of Chorley is situated in the north-west of England and there has recently been a campaign launched in this town to to improve the aesthetic of Chorley. The campaign is called ‘Don’t Mess with Corley’ and it is aimed at people who dump rubbish in public areas. Don’t Mess with Chorley warns that anyone who dumps rubbish could be subject to prosecution. Residents are also encouraged to take photos of the incident posted online to help the council catch people who engage in flytipping behaviour. Flytipping is where waste or rubbish is dumped illegally onto land that is not part of an authorised dump. The Chorley Guardian is playing a role in the campaign by posting stories and photos of flytipping issues on their website.

The problem of flytipping was illustrated in the first few days of the Don’t Mess with Chorley campaign with 13 flytips in Chorley that needed to be cleaned up by the council and they have said that it cost over 1,500 pounds in taxpayers money. The Councillor who is responsible for street cleaning is Councillor Adrian Lowe and he he said to the media that there is a small group of people who believe that it is okay to illegally dispose of their rubbish and that they are taking a hard line with these people. He added that the campaign is important to keep Chorley a beautiful place now and in the future. The campaign shines a spotlight on the issue for a month and will show the public how much money, effort and time goes into cleaning up the illegal dumps.

The Don’t Mess with Chorley campaign will also focus on littering, graffiti and dog fouling. Also, there will be organised days for clean-ups, skip collection days and an information rollout of a clean-up schedule. Any of these issues can be reported to the council on their website or phone number.
