Claims for an injury from a cycling race will require no win no fee lawyers in Byfleet
The village of Byfleet is located in the Surrey county in England and this village forms part of the route that the cyclists take in the RideLondon-Surrey race. The RideLondon-Surrey event is held to raise money for charity and the most recent race had over 24,000 competitors take part. The organisers of the event paid tribute to the riders for competing even with a hurricane hitting Surrey on the Sunday of the race. The torrential rain from Hurricane Bertha only affected 3 cyclists who did not receive serious injuries and were able to continue with the race.
The RideLondon-Surrey race has both amateur and professional cyclists taking part in two separate races that wind its way from London to Surrey and then back to London again. The race is considered as one of the more difficult races by many cyclists and the torrentail rain and strong winds made this year’s event even more difficult. The section of the race in Box Hill and Leith Hill was removed from the race route due to the weather conditions but the race still had 86 treacherous miles to take part in. It was thought that the toughest part of the race would be at Newlands Corner but the accidents that did occur were all at the section of the race at Elmbridge.
Many of the crowd came to the section of the race in Ripley to see the Tour de France champion, Sir Bradley Wiggins, who had also won an Olympic gold meal at the London Olympics. The professional race was a memorable event this year with a breakaway group leading the race towards the end and a sprint finish culminating in two British cyclists taking first and second place. The two riders were Ben Swift from Team Sky and Adam Blythe from NFTO.
