What can our solicitors in Whiteness help you claim for?
You may already be well aware that if you have been injured in an accident that you are legally entitled to make a claim for compensation. What you might not know is that there are wide number of different accident type situations that you can make a claim for, and our solicitors in Whiteness can help you with all of them.
All our solicitors in Whiteness need to know before taking your claim on is that:
- You suffered some form of an injury as a result of your accident
- That the accident in question which caused the injury was not your fault
- That the accident occurred in the last three years (or it is not more than three years since you became aware of the injury you sustained)
Generally speaking our solicitors in Whiteness can help with:
- Accidents at work
- Road traffic accidents
- Slips, trips and falls
- Faulty or defective products
- Industrial diseases
- Food poisoning
There are other accidents and incidents that we can help with, so if you are unsure whether or not you qualify to make a claim you can take Accident Advice Helpline’s 30 second test to find out more information. Alternatively, you can contact us on our Freephone helpline number and speak directly to one of our advisors. They will be able to provide you with free, no obligation advice to help you decide if you are ready to make a claim or not.
The key to making a successful claim for compensation is in the detail. When you instruct one of our solicitors in Whiteness they will need to know the precise details of what happened to you during the accident as well as in the lead up. They will then be able to help determine who was responsible for the accident occurring in the first place and why. For example, if you slipped on a wet patch in a supermarket they will need to know what caused the water to gather (e.g. a leak in a refrigerator), and what the store policy is for dealing with this (e.g. staff are responsible for checking that refrigerators are working properly and maintained on a regular basis, all reported spillages are signed with a “wet floor” hazard cone and cleaned up immediately).
If the people directly responsible for customer safety have not followed these steps then our solicitors in Whiteness will be able to prove that the accident could have been prevented, and therefore they are liable.
A claim for compensation will then be made against the supermarket in question, and if you are found to be due compensation their insurance policy will cover the cost of the money awarded to you.
How long do you have to claim?
It is important that you remember you only have up to three years to initiate a claim, so do not delay before contacting us.
