Studley is a large village and civil parish found within the Stratford on Avon district of the ceremonial county of Warwickshire, in the West Midlands of England. The village is situated near Warwickshire’s border with Worcestershire and is approximately 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Redditch and 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon.
The village’s name is thought to come from the Old English words Stod and Leah, meaning respectively ‘horses’ and ‘meadow’ or ‘pasture’. Therefore, the village’s name is thought to be a descriptive term meaning the meadow or pasture where horses are kept, which would be a nod toward the earliest land use in the area.
The Population Of Studley
It is sometimes claimed that Studley is the largest village in England, but this is clearly a spurious claim when you consider that there are in fact two larger villages within Warwickshire itself, in the shape of Polesworth and Bulkington.
Studley is by all measures a very large village, however, being home to not far short of 7,000 permanent residents according to the latest available census data. What this means is that the village is much busier and more active than the majority of English villages. It is this fact, therefore, which explains why for personal injury solicitors Studley can be a comparatively common source of compensation claims.
Personal Injury Solicitors Studley
It is due to the fact that the size of the village inexorably leads to a higher number of accidents and injuries that for personal injury solicitors Studley can be a comparatively common source of compensation claims.
