"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Solicitors in Folkestone

Most ferry travellers who sail in and out of Folkestone tend not to use solicitors in Folkestone when they’re looking for someone to help them with a compensation claim, but rather, they tend to use a specialist injury claim lawyer, they find they online, like ourselves here at Accident Advice Helpline. It’s just so much more convenient.

The risks of travelling by ferry

Travelling by ferry is not exactly dangerous. However, with lots of people around, cars driving on and off, and the adversities of the British weather, plus one or two other vagaries, accidents and injuries do happen from time to time.

Manoeuvring a car in tight confines and trying to keep your eyes peeled in all directions can be challenging, especially with other people milling around, all concentrating on their own particular needs and not being too mindful of the cars manoeuvring around them. Tempers can easily get frayed, with the possible result of physical violence.

Heavy seas can make the simple act of walking quite difficult, and a sudden swell can easily cause a fall, not to mention the possible slipperiness of the decks from sea spray and rain. There’s even the possible of danger of food poisoning. These are all very real risks.

    What qualifies a clam?

Whatever the nature of the injury you sustain, before you can go ahead and register a claim, you need to examine certain aspects of the incident. For example,

    Open Claim Calculator

    • Who was to blame for the injury/incident? In order to be claimable, the blame must lie with someone other than the injury victim.
    • Were you seriously hurt? The injury must be reasonably significant. Minor cuts and bruises for example, wouldn’t be considered.
    • When did the injury occur? To qualify for compensation, any injury, must have occurred within the three year period immediately preceding the date of your claim.

Finally, any old Tom, Dick or Harry can falsify a claim, so you’ll need medical proof of the injury you sustained.

Why use solicitors in Folkestone if you don’t live there?

Most ferry travellers don’t actually live in Folkestone, therefore, there is little point in using solicitors in Folkestone itself. People always have the option to employ a solicitor in their hometown of course, but most prefer the convenience of doing everything online. It is so much simpler. And it’s why we here at Accident Advice Helpline get as much business as we do; that and the fact that we are one of the nation’s leading ‘no win, no fee’ injury claim solicitors.
