    Solicitor in London

With the effect of Globalisation, is the best place to find a Solicitor London?

With London being one of the epicentres of the legal profession, is the best place to find a solicitor London? For centuries the legal profession has taken its lead from London, London has always led the way, from its pre regulated days to the formation of the law society, London has always held a special position within the legal community not just within the UK, but across the world. Many of the legal systems adopted by other countries owe their heritage to the English legal system. Has this influence been eroded as the world becomes a smaller place?

Many of the legal firms in London can trace their roots back to the pre regulated days when London ruled the legal world. There was no other choice; if you wanted a solicitor, London was the place you went. Its foundation being based on equity, a sentiment that made decisions based on what was fair and just. With the advent of companies becoming global and the employees working on several of the five continents for the same company, the law has had to adapt. Industrial disease claims now have an international implication and the influence of London’s legal hold could be seen to be being watered down.

Simple things like smart casual dress code squeeze at the very fibre of the institution that has been held in such high esteem. While change is inevitable, there are some things that remain constant, in this instance it is the law itself and the motive of those dedicated practitioners who devote their lives to pursuing justice, whether a solicitor is London based or in New York, the pursuit of justice is what drives and holds this profession together. The professionalism and passion to help others remains the motivating force for legal experts.

It is equity at the heart of the law that remains constant, with its drive to do what is right and proper, what is fair and reasonable, all still as relevant as they ever were. Times move and fashions change, but core values do not. The London solicitor has always been at the centre of this ethos; forever preserving the values originally laid out at the foundation of the law society, acting as a guardian for future generations. These generations who are yet to enter the profession, but will be enthralled by the challenge that was laid down by generations past and so the next generation is entrusted to be the guardian.

Has globalisation changed the answer to the question, is the best place to find a solicitor London? There is a point to say they have changed, but by default will always be at the foundation of the legal profession and so their DNA will forever be a part of the legal community. Their influence can be felt across all five continents and yet they still remain at the centre of city life, now not secretive but partnering with organisations like Accident Advice Helpline to best serve those who need their expertise, those who need a champion for their cause.
