    Road traffic crashes

    Being involved in road traffic crashes can happen at any time in any place. It does not matter where you live or where you are driving.

    If this happens and you injured as a blameless victim, then you should speak to an injury lawyer at Accident Advice Helpline to help you to make an injury claim.

    You can make a personal injury claim for road traffic crashes if:

    • The accident was not your fault;
    • You were injured in the accident
    • Your injuries needed medical attention; and
    • The accident happened within the last three years.

    To make road traffic crashes claims, victims may want to use the services of an injury solicitor

    Those are the general rules for making a personal injury claim, but as with all rules there are exceptions. This is why you need the help of an injury solicitor, as they will know all the ins and outs of the legal process involved in claims for road traffic crashes.

    For instance, if as a child you were injured in an accident, the rules change:

    • If no one made a claim on your behalf at the time of the incident, you should make the claim as soon as you can after your 18th birthday
    • However, you will have until your 21st birthday to make the claim — in other words, three years after becoming an adult

    Let Accident Advice Helpline assist you with the complexities of making a claim

    All these different rules are just touching the surface of the complications of making a personal injury compensation claim – it is a legal process, after all. They show how complicated it would be for the layperson to get it right, but for Accident Advice Helpline it is no problem.
