On the 8th January 2014, the residents of Llandysul met for the second time to discuss the council’s plan to cut funding to the town’s sports society.
This was the second meeting, as in December 2013, it was decided that 125 local residents would give £10 a month in an effort to keep the town’s swimming pool open.
Although it is generally recognized that sports are important for everyone’s health, the council has been hit by cuts and is attempting to claw back money to spend on other vital services.
