"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Making a claim for compensation is a right you have after being injured in an accident that was not your fault. Whether you received an armful of cuts and bruises or have been signed off work for a month you may entitled to some compensation money to help alleviate the costs incurred from the accident. An Oldham law firm would clarify that although not all costs may be compensated, you may receive enough to pay off most of your costs provided you retain receipts.

    Compensation money

The amount of compensation money awarded in a case can vary, but the amount is relative to several factors which influence the case, a prime example being the extent of the injuries received. An accident which involves a light bump and a few bruises will naturally attract a lower payout than if the injured party obtained broken bones and was hospitalized.

Other factors in a compensation claim include the nature of the accident, any damage to the vehicle or other personal property, if applicable, and the responsibility of the accident.

An Oldham law firm and the subject of compensation

Throughout the process of a compensation claim your Oldham law firm will hold negotiations with the other party to discuss the amount of compensation being claimed. Although this is largely carried out by the legal parties involved, your solicitor will discuss with you and get your views on the amount of compensation in question.

All compensation payouts are relative to nature of the injuries and based on previous case law. Compensation is intended to help you pay the costs which you endure as a result of the accident, including loss of earnings and any extensive repairs to your vehicle or travel to hospital appointments. Your solicitor will do their utmost to ensure you receive the appropriate amount for your particular injuries.
