    Northampton Car Accident Claims

Making Northampton car accident claims for compensation is never going to be the easiest process, as you have to jump through a lot of hoops and prove yourself a number of times to even have your claim taken seriously.

One of the best ways to get your claim taken seriously, is to use your doctor to help your claim along, and if they are willing to sign statements about your condition and what is likely to have caused it then you may have a better chance of your claim being successful. You could also try using a police report which names the other person in any accident as the perpetrator and yourself as the victim, or any other investigation there may have been.

    • Get your medical records. Your doctor is the easiest way for you to get hold of your medical records, which will be able to prove how badly you have been injured or made ill due to the negligence of another person. When making a claim, you will need this information quickly, so this will be very helpful.
    • Get a medical assessment. Your doctor can give you a full medical assessment there and then, to prove that you sustained serious injuries or were made seriously ill by this other person. They can then do follow-up reports which will prove how your injuries are progressing.
    • Use your doctor as a witness. If your doctor is willing to speak for you in court, or to sign something which proves that you were caused the suffering that you have claimed that you were, this will be reliable evidence from an unbiased third party, and should help your claim to move forward.
    • Offering you support. Above anything else, your doctor can offer you support throughout your claim to ensure that your mental and physical health isn’t badly affected by the claims process.
