AAH – Pioneering no win no fee Cambridgeshire injury claim lawyer
AAH was one of the first specialist solicitors to introduce a no win no fee Cambridgeshire injury claim policy which we offer to every UK citizen regardless of their financial standing.
The old legal aid system
Once upon a time, people who wished to pursue a claim for an injury they had sustained through no fault of their own were able to apply for free legal aid to fund their claims. The system however worked on a means test basis; so in other words, people who had more disposable income, were not able to qualify. Another problem with the legal aid system was that even though you may have been able to qualify, it did not necessarily mean that of all of your costs would be paid. People may therefore have had to fund a certain element themselves, effectively barring some people from being able to launch a claim.
AAH – empowered UK citizens to claim via a no win no fee Cambridgeshire accident injury claim service
During the 1990s it transpired that only 40% of the population were eligible to qualify for legal aid; hardly an equitable arrangement. In the final reckoning, the last straw for the legal aid system was the huge amount of money that it was costing the government to run in terms of the subsidies they were paying out. So legal aid was formally withdrawn permanently in April 2000, and no win no fee was brought into being. To coincide with the withdrawal, we at AAH launched our operation, and were among the very first solicitors to provide a no win no fee Cambridgeshire injury claim service that was open to anyone to use.
AAH’s HOW MUCH calculator
Not only were we one of the first companies to offer the new no win no fee system, but we also introduced our HOW MUCH calculator, enabling people who were considering launching a claim, to establish how much compensation they might be able to expect. Up until that point, the only way of ascertaining this information was by using something called the Ogden tables, which had to be purchased from the Stationery Office. Not only do they cost money to obtain, but they are also quite difficult and cumbersome to use. Our HOW MUCH calculator will estimate the value of your claim for free, and is simple to use, and takes only 30 seconds to give you a figure.
Substantiating your claim
All you need to substantiate any claim is 3 things;
- Proof that the accident/injury is the fault of others.
- Medical proof of the nature and severity of the injury
- Proof that the accident/injury occurred in the last three year
