How much can you get for personal injury claims

How much can you get for personal injury claims? You can get any amount, from between a few hundred pounds and a multi-million pound payout. It all depends on the severity and extent of your injuries and whether or not you can make a full recovery.

You can claim personal injury compensation if you have been injured in an accident that was not your fault within the past three years. You also have three years to claim for an illness that was caused by another person’s negligence, such as a work-related illness or occupational disease, or food poisoning and so on.

    Work-related illnesses

If you have been diagnosed within the last three years with a work-related illness and you wish to make a personal injury claim against your employer, you will have to prove that your illness was caused by negligence on the part of your employer. How much can you get for personal injury claims such as these? It depends on whether you will be able to work in future and if you will ever fully recover.

It can be difficult to prove that your illness is work-related and so it is advisable for you to hire an experienced personal injury solicitor to help you with your claim. You can find one who works on a no win, no fee* basis and most solicitors will give you a free initial appointment during which you can discuss your case.

At the end of the interview, they will be able to tell you if you have grounds on which to base a claim for personal injury compensation. Ask the solicitor how much you can get for personal injury claims and he or she should be able to give you an estimate of the amount you may receive.

How much can you get for personal injury claims?

Before anyone can answer the question posed above, they will have to be in possession of your medical reports, and other documentation which will support your claim. Although you have three years in which to file a claim after the date of your accident or the first diagnosis of your illness, you should file a claim as soon as possible as they can take years to settle, especially if your claim is disputed and has to be taken to court.
