Upper Slaughter is a Gloucestershire village found within the Cotswold District, approximately four miles south west of Stow on the Wold and also close to Bourton on the Water, Lower Slaughter and Daylesford. Sited on both banks of the River Eye, the village is most famous for its connections to the First and Second World Wars. The village is one of only 52 ‘Thankful Villages’, a phrased coined by Arthur Mee in the 1930’s meaning that Upper Slaughter did not lose any men during WWI. Almost unbelievably, despite an air raid, the village also avoided any loss of life during the Second World War making it one of only 14 so-called ‘Doubly Thankful Villages.’
Besides these surprising statistics regarding the two world wars, the village of Upper Slaughter is rather unremarkable and as such has a relatively low level of population and also does not attract many visitors. These facts therefore mean that for a personal injury lawyer, Upper Slaughter is not a common source of personal injury compensation claims.
Personal Injury Lawyer Upper Slaughter
As mentioned earlier, for a personal injury lawyer, Upper Slaughter is not a common source of personal injury compensation claims and this is due to the fact that the lower level of population leads to a lower rate of accidents and injuries. This is not the same as saying that for a personal injury lawyer, Upper Slaughter residents are less entitled to claim however, as there is no geographical discrimination when it comes to claiming compensation.
