    Injury Solicitor in Upholland

Upholland is a village and civil parish in western Lancashire, which is situated approximately three miles east of Skelmersdale, and four and a half miles west of Wigan. The village’s position atop a small rising, over the West Lancashire Coastal Plain, provides views of St Helens, Liverpool, Manchester, and the High Peak of Derbyshire. The village is reputed to have been given its name to differentiate itself from another close by settlement known as Downholland, and both drew their names from the Manor of Holland, a possession of the de Holland family until 1534.

It is fair to say that the village is not widely known, but it does have two claims to fame based around notable people having been buried in the churchyard of the village church of St Thomas the Martyr. These two burials are those of the infamous highwayman George Lyon, and pioneer of steam locomotion Robert Daglish. As mentioned earlier, however, the village in itself is not particularly famous or heavily populated, and this in turn means that for an injury solicitor, Upholland is not a common source of personal injury compensation claims.

    Injury Solicitor in Upholland

As mentioned above, for an injury solicitor Upholland is not a common source of compensation claims, but when it does produce such claims they can come in all shapes and sizes. For example, for an injury solicitor, Upholland could one day give rise to a road traffic collision claim, and then the next day produce a claim related to an accident in the workplace. Whatever the circumstances of a claim there are a number of key points about the claims process which all potential claimants should know, before embarking upon legal proceedings, and these are analysed below.

When And Why Is Compensation Available?

The law states that if you are injured or fall ill, and somebody else was demonstrably to blame, then you are entitled to seek personal injury compensation as a result. This compensation is available as a means of the victim receiving some measure of recompense for the physical, emotional, and financial pain, which will have followed their injury or ailment.
