Bodelwyddan is a town and community in Denbighshire, Wales approximately 5 miles south of Rhyl. The Parish includes several smaller hamlets, including Pengwern, approximately 1 mile to the north west of Bodelwyddan itself.
Bodelwyddan has a long history and is home to over 60 listed buildings including Bodelwyddan Castle, which unfortunately is now bypassed by the A55.
If you can, do go and visit the castle to go and see if you can wander round and get a taste of history. There are souveneirs to be bought and the castle grounds have to be seen to be believed.
Of course, if you like walking, you should certainly check out the castle grounds, and don’t forget to take your camera to ensure that you capture the beautiful scenery which can be seen in and around the area. If you like, take a trip to the beach in Rhyl or the outside paddling pool too, and you can make a day of it.
