    Hertfordshire Compensation

Hertfordshire, often abbreviated to simply Herts, is a ceremonial county within the central part of England. The county is one of the so-called Home Counties, and is bordered by Bedfordshire to the north, Cambridgeshire to the north-east, Essex to the east, Buckinghamshire to the west and Greater London to the south.

Hertfordshire is situated to the immediate north of Greater London and this proximity means that much of the county is part of the London Commuter Belt. As such, many of the major settlements within Hertfordshire are used, at least in part, as dormitory settlements for workers from the capital. Some of these major settlements include the county town of Hertford, Stevenage, St Albans and Welwyn Garden City.

    The Demography Of Hertfordshire

The county of Hertfordshire as a whole has a total population of approximately 1,120,000 according to the latest available data, and there is no doubt that in terms of raw numbers this is a significant population. To make a judgement on whether the county is densely populated, however, you must also look at the total land area of Hertfordshire.

This total land area is measured at 634 square miles and once you know this you also know that the population density of the county is around 1,770 per square mile. This is a figure which is lower than many metropolitan districts and cities, but is considerable higher than a lot of other ceremonial counties. What that means, as a result, is that in Hertfordshire compensation claims and the issues surrounding them could be important things for residents to learn about and understand.

    Hertfordshire Compensation Claims

In Hertfordshire compensation claims can be an important issue as the high population density of the county makes accidents and injuries more common and therefore also makes the types of accidents and injuries which produce claims more likely to occur. These types of incident are those in which the victim, who suffered the injury, was not the party ultimately to blame for the event.
