    Compensation claim in Whitehall

When the worst happens and you become injured in an accident you may start to consider making a compensation claim. Whitehall is one of the most prestigious and powerful areas in London but you will probably be hard pushed to find an ordinary accident solicitor on its streets. The legal affairs dealt with in Whitehall tend to be slightly more diplomatic. But that does not mean that there will be no one to help you with your claim.

There is no need to make your compensation claim with a local solicitor. Claims can and are made nationally on a daily basis. What many people do not realise is that many claims can be handled totally via telephone with no need for a face to face appointment. Most claims will require a medical appointment to confirm the injuries that are being claimed for but that may well be it. So if you need to make a compensation claim in Whitehall and cannot find a local solicitor then there is no need to panic, just call one of the national organisations such as Accident Advice Helpline and let them handle your case.

    Starting a claim

All you have to do to start a compensation claim is pick up the phone and answer a few simple questions. The three primary things that an accident solicitor will need to know are:

    1. That the accident was not your fault.
    2. That you suffered an injury that required medical attention as a result.
    3. That the accident happened within the last three years.

As long as you can confirm these three facts then you are within current legal scope and can make a compensation claim. Accidents that happen at work are governed by slightly different guidelines and there is a longer window in which to claim. The most important thing to do whenever you feel that you should make a claim is to get sound advice from an expert in the field.
