City of London public transport claim

Activities in the City of London

The City of London, also known as the “big smoke”, is such a busy place with so much to do on almost everyday of the week. There are so many tourist attractions, and so much going on around about you at all times, that you are never at a loss for fun things to do. However, many attractions in London are infact rather spread out which often means that you may have to use the Underground to move from area to another.

The London Underground is more like an underground maze to many; especially to those who don’t come or live in London. If you have been injured in an accident on the Underground that was caused through no fault of your own within the last 3 years’, then contact Accident Advice Helpline to start your City of London public transport claim.

Experiencing an accident on the London underground

Unfortunately, just like any other mode of transport, accidents can and do happen on the London underground. It is so busy that at least one accident could happen a day.

Faulty doors. When a train anywhere is ready to leave the platform, all doors will be automatically shut. However, when the London Underground is ready to leave, the doors can shut a little more aggressively. Over time, this can mean that the doors could endure a lot of wear and tear and become damaged. Damaged underground doors could spell trouble and cause someone to become badly injured. If this does happen, a City of London public transport claim could be filed against the train operator.

Damaged seats/hand rails. London underground trains are known to become rather packed and also travel at rather high speeds at times. This could cause a huge accident if the seats or even the hand rails used when there are no seats become damaged in any way. This could cause innocent commuters to fall or seriously injure themselves. Again, this would lie with the train operator and a City of London public transport claim could be made.

Unprovoked or a criminal attack. Unfortunately, it does not matter where in the world you are, you could at any point fall victim to an unprovoked attack. This would be when you endure injuries due to an attack for no reason at all. If something like this has happened to you on the London Underground or even in the City of London, be sure to find out if you are eligible to make a compensation claim.
