How do I claim after a city car crash?

If you have been involved in a city car crash and it’s clear that someone else was to blame, you could be eligible to make a claim for compensation against the party responsible. You may have been the driver of a vehicle; you may have been a passenger; you might even have been a passing pedestrian. If you’ve been injured and have had to seek medical treatment for your injuries, then you could have a legal right to bring a claim for damages that will help you restore your life as far as possible to the way it was before your accident.

Accident Advice Helpline can help. We are an experienced legal firm which specialises in personal injury claims. Our aim is always to find the victims of non-fault accidents the right legal representation when making a claim against the parties that caused their injuries. Because all of our lawyers are experienced in personal injury law, and we operate nationally, we can find you the right solicitor to act on your behalf after a city car crash, no matter where you are based.

    What could I claim for?

You can ask for compensation for the injuries you have suffered in your city car crash. To do this successfully, you will need details of the person responsible – such as their contact details and vehicle registration. It is also helpful to have the names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses to the accident. And if you have managed to take photos of the scene, these can assist your case.

You can also ask for any financial losses resulting from your accident to be taken into account. For example, it is possible to make a case for loss of earnings if you have been unable to work. You may also be able to claim back any prescription charges you have paid, fares to and from hospital appointments, as well as the costs of any childcare or home help you have needed while you have been ill. Remember to keep any receipts for these as evidence.

We can’t say for certain how much you will be able to claim, although we will give you an initial estimate based on your injuries when you first contact us. Your solicitor will assess the way your accident has affected your life and will ask the party responsible or their representatives for the maximum you are entitled to.
