Braintree Accident Claim

0

Braintree is a town found within the ceremonial county of Essex in the south east of England, which is also the principal settlement of a local government district that shares its name. The town is situated approximately 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Chelmsford and 15 miles (24 km) west of Colchester.

The original settlement of Braintree was located on the course of the River Brain, to the south of Stane Street, the Roman road from Braughing to Colchester, but it has expanded over the years to become contiguous with other settlements. The most notable of these is that of Bocking, which can be found on the River Blackwater and to the north of the road. This was itself a notable settlement before it was subsumed by Braintree and as such the wider urban area is sometimes referred to as Braintree and Bocking.

A Brief History Of Braintree

The origins of Braintree can be found in Roman Britain, when the settlement was a simple village found on the route of Stane Street, an important road which led to the notable Roman settlement at the site of modern day Colchester. By the time of the Domesday Book in 1086 Braintree, which was then known as Branchetreu, consisted of 30 acres (120,000 square metres) in the possession of Richard, son of Count Gilbert.

It was in the 17th century that the settlement really began to prosper and expand as a centre for the woollen industry, and this prosperity continued into the 20th century when wool came to be replaced by silk as the source of the town’s major income. It was this linkage to the silk manufacturing industry which helped Braintree to develop into the major settlement which we would recognise today.

Braintree Today

According to the latest available census data, the Essex town of Braintree is called home by approximately 53,500 permanent residents. This makes it one of the county’s most notable settlements as well as a significant centre of population on a national scale. What that means is that the town can see a relatively high number of injuries and therefore it is worth discussing Braintree accident claim proceedings.

Braintree Accident Claim Proceedings

Due to the comparatively high injury rate within the town, Braintree accident claim proceedings are relatively more likely than similar proceedings in smaller settlements. It is that, therefore, which makes it more important for anybody who may be in a position to pursue a Braintree accident claim to know who they can trust to handle it for them.

Fortunately, the easy answer to the above question is that the best people to entrust with the handling of any personal injury claim are undoubtedly Accident Advice Helpline. You can reach them 24 hours a day by calling either 0800 180 4123 or 0333 500 0992.
