    Bedwas Accident Claim

Bedwas is a town which can be found within the Caerphilly county borough, in the southern part of Wales. The town is located approximately two miles north-east of Caerphilly and its neighbours Trethomas, Graig-y-Rhacca and Machen.

Bedwas began life as a small farming community which was actually known as Lower Bedwas, whilst the village now known as Maesycwmmer was originally Upper Bedwas. It was in the 19th century that Bedwas began to grow in earnest due in the most part to the coming of both the railway and of coal mining to the area.

    Modern Day Bedwas

The final colliery in the area of Bedwas closed as a result of the miners’ strike of 1984-85 and light industry came to replace coal mining as the major employer in the town. There were still some economic issues caused by the decline of coal mining, but this replacement industry helped Bedwas to cope better than many Welsh settlements at the time.

It is partly for this reason, therefore, that Bedwas also hasn’t seen the same scale of migration out of the town and remains a significantly sized settlement which is home to nearly 9,000 permanent residents. This is hugely beneficial to the local economy but also creates the negative impact of there being a comparatively high number of accidents and injuries within the town. It is this, as a result, which makes it more likely that residents may one day need to pursue Bedwas accident claim proceedings.

    Bedwas Accident Claim Proceedings

Bedwas accident claim proceedings are the means by which injury victims can seek to receive personal injury compensation. These proceedings can be embarked upon if and when an individual suffers an injury which was the result of an accident or incident where somebody else was demonstrably to blame.

Personal injury compensation is available in these circumstances as a means of recompense for the pain – physical, emotional and financial – that an injury can cause. If you believe that you may be entitled to begin Bedwas accident claim proceedings, then the most crucial decision you have to make is that of who to trust to handle your claim.
