    Accident claim in Highcliffe

The small town of Highcliffe lies on the Dorset coast in the South of England and falls within the borough of Christchurch. Highcliffe is located close to Bournemouth, a favourite seaside resort with elderly tourists, and the historic town of Christchurch itself.

This part of the Solent coastline is particularly pretty. It boasts splendid views of the English Channel and the Isle of White’s major landmark, The Needles, a strange rock formation that is one of the most photographed and easily recognisable natural phenomena in Britain. As Highcliffe is also within close proximity of the New Forest National Park, which lies to the north of the little town, Highcliffe receives its fair share of tourism, although the majority of visitors do stay in Bournemouth.

    Showing off one’s finery

The area benefits from a far milder climate in winter and drier weather in spring and summer than villages and towns further inland. This fact did not go unnoticed during the late Victorian era, when it became fashionable to leave the big cities during the summer and stay in seaside towns for the purpose of enjoying fresh air and a moderate amount of exercise. Visitors of the time also drank spring waters in spa resorts, which were deemed to be beneficial to one’s health. The Edwardians expanded on the theme and many more fishing villages were transformed into fashionable seaside resorts.

While Victorian and Edwardian holidaymakers would have preferred to stroll leisurely along the seafront to show off their finery, today’s holidaymakers head to the Chewton Glen Country Club or Highcliffe Golf Course to work off some steam and be sociable with their peers. At Steamer Point, birdwatchers and walkers can enjoy a wonderful nature reserve. Indeed, with much improved local amenities, including smart restaurants and cafes in the High Street, Highcliffe is gradually transforming into a popular seaside resort for the modern age.

Showing off one’s sense of justice

If you tripped over defective pavement along the High Street or suffered a bout of food poisoning in one of the restaurants, you could make an accident claim in Highcliffe and look to receive compensation for your suffering but also a measure of justice. Anyone who makes an injury claim effectively could help to stop the negligent person or organisation from hurting somebody else in the same way.
