"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Ski accident counselling

Are you in need of ski accident counselling to help you cope with injuries or ongoing stress after running into trouble on the slopes? If your accident was somebody else’s fault, a successful compensation claim could mean that they have to pay for the treatment you need. At Accident Advice Helpline, we can help you make that claim, and our claims process is designed to be as stress-free as possible.

    When can I claim?

If your accident happened within the last three years, or if you were a child when it happened and you are still under 21, you may be able to make a compensation claim. In order to got help with ski accident counselling costs you will normally need to have been treated by a doctor, or a certified psychiatric professional, who says that this is important to your recovery. Not everybody who works as a therapist is professionally trained and licensed, so ask if you are not sure. As some doctors are not as understanding as they should be about stress-related problems, you should also remember that you have the right to a second opinion if you don’t initially get a helpful response.

We understand that if you feel shaken after an accident you might find it hard to pick up the phone straight away. As long as you claim within the limit, that is alright. Our advice, however, is that you keep receipts for any counselling you have in the meantime as we may also be able to help you recover the cost of this.

    How do I claim?

When you feel ready, no matter what time of day or night that might be, just pick up the phone and give us a call. It’s all much easier than you might expect. Our staff are very friendly and, as they’re used to dealing with accident victims, they understand the stress of your situation. They’ll listen sympathetically and talk through your options with you.

Phoning us won’t cost you any money and it won’t mean that you have to pursue a claim with us. We won’t put any pressure on you and we completely understand if you want to take your time to think things over. If you do decide you want to claim, we’ll be ready to help.

    What happens next?

If we think you have a valid case and you tell us you want it to go forward, we’ll find an expert solicitor to take care of it for you. Your solicitor will deal with any complicated legal issues and will look after most of the paperwork. You won’t be left out of any important decisions, but it will be up to you how closely you want to be kept informed.

If you are successful in your claim, we will press to make sure that it includes money to cover for the counselling you are likely to need in the future. Compensation is designed to enable you, as far as possible, to return to the way you lived before your accident – even to the point of helping you get back on the slopes.
