    Plastering accident counselling

    Finding counselling

If you had an accident working as a plasterer, or were injured by work done by others, you may now be wondering where you can find plastering accident counselling. Working as a plasterer can involve long hours and travel to many different work sites. It is a skilled trade and one you can take pleasure in. Working as part of a crew taking on a particular building project, you can also derive satisfaction from seeing that site progress towards its finished state. Unfortunately though, work-related accidents can happen, and your accident as a plasterer may have left you with psychological and physical injuries. Your doctor may have advised you to follow a course of counselling to further your long-term healing process.

You may also have had a plastering accident that did not involve your own work. Perhaps you were living in or visiting a particular residence or workplace. The plastering carried out by someone else may have injured you by falling on you or by obstructing your way. Your psychological or physical injuries may have been severe and you may need counselling as part of your healing process.

    Private counselling

Often, counselling is available on the NHS. If your doctor determines that you would benefit from counselling, he or she will put you in contact with your nearest NHS treatment centre. Although such care can be excellent, it can also be delayed and potentially far from where you live. NHS treatment, although typically of a high standard, can also involve waiting lists. Furthermore, if you live in a rural area, or the type of counselling you need is highly specialised, it can mean you have to travel some distance each time for treatment.

It may be that you cannot afford to wait for your counselling to begin, or that the distances you have to travel to attend it are prohibitive. You may find that going private is your best option. Private counselling can often commence much faster, helping your mental health to improve after your plastering accident.

    Accident Advice Helpline

Of course, private counselling involves payment. This is where Accident Advice Helpline could be of some assistance. Even though we do not pay directly for your private counselling, raising a successful claim for financial compensation for your plastering accident means you can use some or that entire claim towards your medical fees.
