"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Esther Rantzen

Have you had NHS broken nose surgery?

A fractured nose can be painful, with symptoms ranging from swelling and bruising around the eyes to difficulty breathing and even complications such as septal haematoma. If you have broken your nose and it is crooked, then you may have had NHS broken nose surgery. This can either be carried out as a closed reduction to realign your nose under general or local anaesthetic, or for more severe fractures you may need an open reduction in theatre. Whichever type of procedure you have, you may have pain and swelling for at least a few days afterwards, and many people take some time off work to recover. You could make a personal injury claim if your broken nose was the result of an accident caused by somebody else, and Accident Advice Helpline can help you.

What costs have you incurred after NHS broken nose surgery?

Although NHS broken nose surgery won’t cost you anything (assuming you’re eligible for treatment on the NHS), you may have other costs to cover after your accident. You may need to pay for travel to and from the hospital and follow-up medical appointments, and you may have parking costs to cover and the cost of prescription medication to think about. You may need to take time off work, and even if your employer offers sick pay, this can affect your earnings. Making a claim for personal injury compensation is a good way to recoup some of these costs, and all these things will be taken into account when we process your personal injury claim.

The amount of compensation you’ll receive will also depend on the severity of your fracture and how it has impacted your life – so if you have suffered a physical deformity that is permanent, or if you required surgery to straighten your nose, this will be taken into account.

Will my broken nose claim be successful?

There are no guarantees that any personal injury claim will be successful, but Accident Advice Helpline’s lawyers work on a 100% no-win, no-fee* basis; this means we will only take on your claim if we think there is a good chance of success. It’s unlikely you’ll need to go to court, as we can process the majority of claims for broken noses over the phone. So why not pick up the phone and call us today on 0800 689 0500 (or 0333 500 0993 from a mobile) to find out more about claiming the compensation you are entitled to.
