    Compensation for slipping in a shop

    With thousands of people heading to the UK’s shops every day, accidents are bound to happen at some point or another and slipping in a shop is the most common cause of injury whilst shopping. You might think that slipping couldn’t lead to a serious injury, but it depends on how you fall and land, and you could be left suffering from life-changing injuries.

    Shops have a legal obligation to ensure that their premises are safe and they should take steps to make sure customers are safe from harm. Failing to meet these obligations could mean they are liable to pay you personal injury compensation if you’re injured after slipping in a shop.     Common injuries

    Injuries sustained after a slip in a shop could be minor or serious, and could include:
