    Compensation for building site accidents

Every now and then you might read something in the news about building site accidents. Minor accidents are never reported in the mainstream news but when one or more builders are seriously injured or even killed as a result of something that goes wrong, you will almost certainly get to read about it.

In these situations the Health and Safety Executive will be called in to investigate what happened to determine whether there was negligence to blame for the accident.

Negligence is extremely rare on a building site, and indeed in any workplace in the UK today. The health and safety laws have ensured most people are perfectly safe wherever they work.

However, building sites are among those workplaces that are potentially more dangerous than others.

    Examples of building site accidents

There are many potential hazards that might be present on the average building site, regardless of the size of that site. For example hazards might include machinery and moving vehicles being used for certain tasks on the site.

Working at height presents another potential hazard where the dangers must be identified and coped with in advance so no one is put in any potential danger.

These are just a couple of examples – there could well be many more. Fortunately companies such as Accident Advice Helpline can handle cases that occur where builders and other individuals are hurt in building site accidents.

These cases may be rare but it is important that people who are hurt can receive proper legal advice on whether a claim might be warranted.

    Keeping building sites safe

It is important to recognise the hard work site managers and site owners put in to make sure their building sites are as safe as they can possibly be. By following all health and safety laws it is very unlikely anything could go wrong in these situations.

However if these laws should be ignored or not followed in the proper manner, there could be a potential for accidents to happen that could change the lives of those involved.

Accident Advice Helpline is here in those situations where injuries suffered on a building site have changed your life. Whether those injuries were major or minor, call us today on 0800 689 0500 to see whether you might be able to make a no win, no fee claim to seek compensation for what happened to you.
