Compensation for a back injury in a child

If your child was involved in an accident which was neither your fault nor your child’s and it resulted in a serious back injury which required medical attention, you could be entitled to compensation. A back injury in a child can cause life-long problems as well as pain and discomfort in the short term. To prevent similar accidents like this happening again, and to get the justice you deserve, call Accident Advice Helpline for free, no-obligation advice.

How can back injuries happen to a child?

Your child may have been injured at school, on a school trip or even at the park. They may have suffered a bad trip or fall or slipped over. Back injuries can lead to complication with movement and your child may have suffered such a bad injury that they have been left paralysed or learning how to walk again.

What can you do about a back injury in a child?

Depending on the type and severity of the back injury a child may require surgery, physiotherapy or other similar rehabilitation treatment. Recovery may be long, painkillers may be required and the injury may heal with time or be present for the rest of their life.

If the injury which your child has suffered seems unfair and you believe someone else’s negligence is to blame, call our team for help and support. We can assess whether you have a claim to be made and compensation could help you with medical costs and treatments which could aid your child’s treatment and recovery.

Making a claim for compensation may also ensure that the negligent party takes Health and Safety law more seriously and it could even prevent future accidents from happening. No one wants to see their child injured, and if you can prevent other parents from suffering the same fate, you owe it to yourself and them to get justice for an unfair accident.
