How to claim hotel industry injury compensation

Hotels can offer many services all under one roof. From the obvious rooms to sleep in, to gyms, restaurants, cafes and sometimes even shops or entertainment. For all these different services many different staff members are required to keep everything going and provide a service to visitors to the hotel. However, it is not just the visitors who rely on the safety at the hotel; staff members also rely on the hotel owners and management to ensure that they have a safe place to work in, where they won’t experience accidents and injuries.

    Health and safety in hotels

Staff need procedures and regulations to be in place so that everything is running safely and smoothly in the hotel. When things go wrong accidents can happen to staff and they may consider hotel industry injury compensation if it is felt that the hotel managers have neglected their duty of care. That’s why health and safety in hotels is extremely important; a hotel must not forget to look after its staff as well as its visitors. Hotels that neglect to do this may be liable for any injuries or accidents that happen and if you work in a hotel and feel that there has been negligence that has caused your injury, you may be able to claim compensation and Accident Advice Helpline can help you do this.

How can hotels look after their staff?

By having health and safety checks and procedures in place throughout the hotel the management can make sure that they know of any potential hazards and can rectify them or minimize the risks involved. They should ensure their staff have correct training for the job they are doing and for any manual handling or use of machinery they might be expected to carry out. By looking out for the safety of their staff the hotel will increase overall safety in the premises and reduce the possibility of causing an accident that could result in them facing hotel industry injury compensation.
