How to claim bakery injury compensation

How to claim bakery injury compensation

Many bakeries start work very early in the morning. This is so they can turn out cakes and bread in time for the start of the working day. They can open at nine o’clock or earlier and have a complete selection of items ready for their customers to buy.

As you can imagine, working as a baker, or as another worker within a bakery, can be a challenging job to choose. Bakers have to handle very hot ovens and equipment, including baking trays and numerous other similar items. This means there should be proper protective equipment present to limit the odds of burns and scalds.

When can someone consider trying for bakery injury compensation?

If you work in a bakery and you receive an injury of some kind, you need to consider how that injury was caused. For example was it caused because you were not properly trained in how to do your job? Was it caused because your employer did not provide you with proper oven gloves to use when removing items from the ovens? Perhaps you were injured because the floor was never cleaned that well and you were therefore put in a position where slipping over on the floor was very easy?

Injuries could potentially be caused in all these situations. In order to claim bakery injury compensation you would have to be able to prove negligence on the part of your employer, or a third party. For example if someone had left a delivery just inside the doorway to the kitchen and it was in your path, causing you to trip over and hurt yourself, you may have a good chance to make a successful claim.

    What should you do next?

If you suspect you do have a chance to make a compensation claim, you should get in touch with an experienced lawyer as quickly as possible. You will have to start your claim within three years of the injury occurring, so even if the injury did not occur recently you might still have a good chance of claiming.
