Primrose Hill, just north of Regents Park, is a beautiful part of town which has its share of celebrity residents. It has a wealth of pretty streets and handsome houses and still maintains an intellectual classiness rather than purely money.
It has a village feel with an array of independent and interesting shops including vintage toys, retro furniture and all sorts of other goodies. Antique stores and the fabulous Primrose Hill books, in a world of dwindling booksellers, offer a nice distraction on a sunny afternoon.
Walking to the top of the Hill offers a great view over the city but one should be careful to avoid slips, trips and falls, particularly after frost in the winter months.
People enjoy running down the hill but this is a risky business as one wrong foot could lead to a nasty accident.
Be aware at night as in any public space like this the risk of mugging is present, potentially leading to injury.
