Moving house can be a stressful and busy time, and even more so if you have children to amuse at the same time. The last thing you need is to have an accident such as a slip, trip or fall whilst moving so you need to make sure you dress correctly for the occasion.
What should I wear on moving day to avoid a slip, trip or fall?
The most important thing is to wear something comfortable and old. You may be carrying dirty or dusty items so the last thing you want to do is ruin your new top. As well as that, if you are wearing something tight or uncomfortable you will be less focussed on the task ahead and more likely to sustain a slip, trip or fall injury.
Another important thing to remember is wear flats on moving day. Even if you live in your heels every day you will want to wear flat shoes. You will not only be doing a lot of moving around but a lot of lifting and stepping in and out of vans or trucks so you do not want to have a slip, trip or fall simply because you wore heels. Not only will your feet be happy you didn’t wear heels by the end of the day but you will hopefully be slip, trip and fall free.
Anything else I need to wear?
Unless it is a very cold day wear something light and bring a jumper along just in case. If you are moving heavy boxes around you will find yourself getting warm very quickly and if you overheat a slip, trip or fall would become more likely. Taking a jumper along means you can put it on during the journeys to and from the houses and when you find yourself getting cold.
