Water contamination explained
You don’t necessarily have to drink contaminated water to get ill. Depending on the bacteria, skin contact with contaminated water can be enough to cause an illness.
If you suspect your illness has been caused by a restaurant or certain public place, water contamination can be hard to prove, see food poisoning claim. However, if you have the receipt for drinks or a meal that made you ill, we can take the incubation period into account and may be able to prove a link.
Whether you bathed in a lake or a swimming pool, took a shower in a public place, or even at home, or drank water which tasted weird, if you think you are ill because of water contamination, contact us to establish your full legal position.
