    Whiplash Injury in Llanfyllin

Llanfyllin is a market town in Powys which was given its charter to hold a market in the reign of Edward I; the old market cross still stands in the town square. The town also has a holy well dedicated to Saint Myllin, who was a 7th century saint, who is also called Saint Moling in Ireland. It is more of a spring than a well, but if you tried to access it, you might fall, severely jolt your head and as a result suffer whiplash injury in Llanfyllin.

    Saint Moling/Myllin

This saint, according to tradition, came from an aristocratic Irish family, and was born in 614. He established a monastery in County Carlow, and may have eventually become Bishop of Ferns in County Wexford. Although there is no explicit record of him ever being in Wales, it is possible that he was, or at least possible that some of his monks crossed over into Wales and established a Christian community on his behalf. The holy well is where converts were baptized by full immersion, it is said.

    Whiplash injury in Llanfyllin

If you have suffered whiplash injury in Llanfyllin, you might not have been injured in a road traffic accident, as it is possible to get it in any type of accident when your head is jolted severely in any direction. You might get it after walking past a building site and an object falls on your head, making you fall and moving it suddenly. If you have this sort of whiplash injury in Llanfyllin, you may be able to make a personal injury compensation claim against the owner of the construction company.

How do I claim for whiplash injury in Llanfyllin?

First of all you have to be able to prove conclusively that the accident in which you sustained whiplash was not your fault. If you got it after being hit on the head by a falling object from a building site, you and your personal injury solicitor would need to show that the owner of the construction firm had been negligent. He or she may not have carried out a thorough risk assessment before work started, and this could have contributed to your accident.

You need to find an expert injury solicitor to help you file a claim, and you need to have one who is experienced in accidents in public places or road traffic accidents and so on. If you are unable to locate a suitable solicitor, call us at Accident Advice Helpline.
