    Whiplash injury in Loch Ness

    Loch Ness is a famous freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands. The loch, the largest in Scotland, is home to the fabled Loch Ness Monster, a creature which many claim to have seen, but whose existence has never been confirmed. Many now dismiss it as a myth.

    Whether you believe in the Loch Ness Monster or not, we are sure you believe in fighting for that to which you are entitled, especially if you have suffered a whiplash injury in Loch Ness. Why should you be the one left with not only the physical and emotional scars, but also the financial costs that you may have incurred as a result of your injuries.

    Whiplash is one of the most common injuries that are caused by road traffic accidents, which is why Accident Advice Helpline have plenty of experience in dealing with them. The term refers to a neck injury caused by the very sudden movement of the head forwards, backwards or sideways. Even low-impact accidents can cause it.

    Whiplash can be apparent almost immediately, but in some cases it may take several days for the symptoms to manifest. Even if your injuries seem mild or non-existent after a road traffic accident, you need to keep an eye out for the following symptoms:

    • Headaches;
    • Upper or lower back pain;
    • Stiffness in the neck;
    • Reduced neck movement; and
    • Pain in the neck and shoulders.

    If you have been involved in a road accident, no matter how low-impact or seemingly minor, you need to visit your GP if you start experiencing these symptoms, as they may be a sign of a whiplash injury in Loch Ness. Although it cannot be diagnosed through any tests or scans, your GP can make a note on your medical record which may provide valuable evidence if you are thinking about making a claim.
