    Whiplash injury in Ammanford

Ammanford is a town in Wales. It is towards the south of the county of Carmarthenshire. This is to the south of the country. The town has a population of around 5,400 people. Some areas of the town are pedestrianised, but there are other areas that accommodate cars and other vehicles. Most people drive without any problems and never have an accident, but we all know there is always the risk we could encounter someone else who makes a bad decision on the road. This might lead to a whiplash injury in Ammanford if something like this happened to us.

You might already know that, of course, if you’ve been in a recent road accident. Whiplash is a common injury and may occur without the person suffering any other injuries. Conversely, it could be one of several injuries they suffer in an accident. You too might know this through personal experience. Finding out more about a possible claim is worthwhile, and we’ll learn about this here.

    What is whiplash?

Whiplash must surely be one of the more common injuries people sustain when they are involved in a car accident. It is far more likely to happen to you if your car is struck from behind while stationary. However, it can potentially happen in other situations, so if you are in a car crash of any kind, you should be alert for the possibility of whiplash to develop.

You may initially feel some pain in your neck, but it is usually only later that the real symptoms of whiplash develop. For example, you will feel a headache, perhaps some pain in your neck and upper back, and you might feel nauseous as well. Dizziness is also likely, although not everyone experiences the same symptoms. Whiplash can also range from being very mild to very severe, depending on the speeds involved in the collision. Women are also more likely to get this injury, although it is not entirely known why.

Is there a chance you could claim for a whiplash injury in Ammanford?

There is if you experienced the injury within the last three years, and you can prove another driver was the cause of that injury. Sometimes, this can be easier to work out than others, but if there is doubt over the cause of your accident, or who was at fault, you should still get in touch with Accident Advice Helpline. We have handled calls from others who have had a whiplash injury in Ammanford, but whether you had your injury there or not, we can help you work out whether to claim.
