At Accident Advice Helpline, we receive over 25,00 enquiries a month from people seeking our help, and we reveal some of the top questions we’re asked (as well as the answers) below.

Can I make a claim for my whiplash?

You have rights under the UK law to make a compensation claim, if you have been injured in an accident that arose because of someone else’s negligence. This means that if you’ve been involved in collision through absolutely no fault of your own and you’ve sustained whiplash as a result, you are within your rights to obtain legal counsel and make a claim for remuneration.

What about other injuries sustained in the same accident?

You can make a claim for other injuries you may have sustained in your car accident, such as a concussion, broken bones, lacerations and internal bruising.

What happens if my accident didn’t occur recently?

If you’ve been in a serious accident, it can take some time to fully heal before you can even begin to consider making a claim. You have up to three years after your accident to do so, allowing you plenty of time to get better physically and emotionally before embarking on legal action.

At Accident Advice Helpline, we pride ourselves on making it affordable for everyone to receive the best possible legal care after an accident. We undertake 100% of cases on a conditional fee agreement known as ‘No Win, No Fee’.

What sort of whiplash compensation amount could I receive?

The amount you could be awarded for your injuries will depend on a number of things, such as the severity of the injury, if you lost any income as a result of the injury, the costs of treatment and so forth. Many of our claimants have received thousands of pounds from the person responsible for their whiplash.
