    Whiplash accidents compensation

Whiplash accidents compensation is usually associated with a rear end shunt between two cars, but there are greater dangers on our roads, are far more serious accidents that can happen.

HGV’s are more of a problem than whiplash accidents compensation

Lorries and heavy goods vehicles are increasingly at the centre of road traffic accidents, causing over 50% of the deaths from accidents on our motorways.

The government is looking at new measures to help reduce the number of road traffic accidents involving these huge vehicles, and to try and make our motorways safer. It has also been pointed out though, that they do not fare much better on A and B roads, because of the tight corners they sometimes have to negotiate.

They account for about 10% of our traffic, but over half of fatal accidents on motorways involve an HGV, they are involved in 1 in 5 deaths on A roads and on more minor roads they are 5 times more like to be involved in a fatality.

Motorbikes are more of a problem than whip lash accidents compensation

The million motorbikes that are on our roads mean they are just under 2% of the total traffic, but they are involved in 20% of accidents. Although many of these accidents are because other road users do not see the motorbike until it is too late, the riders themselves have to take some of the blame as well.

A motorbike can do huge speeds, and unfortunately some riders push their bikes to its limits. And no doubt, most of us have sat in traffic and seen a bike filtering through to get to the front of the line. This is perfectly fine if it is done correctly, but all to often you see bike riders filtering at speeds in excess of what they should be doing in this situation.

Is it any wonder that a motorbike rider is 40 times more likely to die in a road traffic accident than a car driver?
