    Questions about personal injury compensation?

If you have been injured as a result of someone else’s negligence then you probably have lots of questions to ask about making a personal injury claim. We have a twenty-four hour helpline where you can get all of the answers that you need, but to get you started here are some of our most frequently asked questions.

I’m not sure if I’m entitled to claim, can you help?

Yes, we can confirm this straight away. Just call our helpline on 0800 689 0500 or 0333 500 0993 from a mobile phone and speak to one of our advisers. They should be able to confirm your eligibility to claim there and then. If they can’t they will find out and call you back.

How long do I have to claim?

You have three years from the date on which you were injured to start your claim. But make sure that you are fully recovered before you claim, otherwise you may not get all of the compensation that you would have been entitled to!

    How long will claiming take?

Most personal injury claims are settled quite quickly. If you claim with us, our West Oxfordshire no win no fee* solicitors will try and get you your money as quickly as possible.

Why can’t I get legal aid?

The government stopped legal aid funding for personal injury claims in 1998, but don’t worry, using our West Oxfordshire ‘no win, no fee*’ solicitors will make sure that you get your compensation without gambling your own money.

Can I claim for an illness?

Yes, you can claim personal injury compensation for an injury, illness, or psychological illness.

    Can my children claim?

They can, but they will need an adult to claim for them as a ‘litigation friend’. This friend is normally a parent or a guardian.

Will I have to go to court to get my money?

It is unlikely, as most personal injury claims are settled out of court. This keeps legal costs down for all parties.

Can I be repaid the money I have spent on private medical treatment?

Yes absolutely. Our West Oxfordshire ‘no win, no fee*’ solicitors will work hard to make sure that you are repaid for all of your injury costs, including any money that you have spent on private medical treatment.

    How much will I get?

There aren’t set amount for different injuries, but you can get an estimate of how much compensation you could be awarded by using the compensation calculator tool on our website:
