A claim for an injury caused by someone committing a shoplifting offence will require Teignbridge no win no fee* lawyers

The local district of Teignbridge is situated in the Devon area in England and the district has been the location of a recent series of shoplifting crimes that has resulted in numerous high value items being taken. The offences have happened in the Newton Abbott area and police have said that there are two suspects on the run who are thought to have committed a number of shoplifting crimes in the past year, not only in Newton Abbot but also East Devon and Plymouth. Police have appealed to the public for any information on the whereabouts of their two suspects, a male and female.

They have described the female suspect as being of caucasian appearance, aged somewhere between her 30s and 40s, a height of 5 foot 6 and having dark hair tied into a pony tail. The male suspect was described as being caucasian, aged between his 30s and 40s, a height of 5 foot 7 and has a chubby build. During the crimes, it was noted that he was pushing a push chair that was dark coloured with orange lining around the chair.

In regards to their shoplifting crimes, a spokesperson from the police has said that the two suspects act together by having the woman go into the store and place expensive electrical items and cosmetics into her basket. The male suspect then comes into the store pushing his push chair while the woman transfers the store items from the basket into the push chair. After a short while, the woman leaves the store and the basket without buying anything.

The value of the goods they steal in each offence is around four to five hundred pounds according to police. Stores that have been targeted by the shoplifters include a Boots store in Greenhill Retail Park, Dingles in Plymouth City Centre and a Boots store in Exmouth.
