    Successful Work Compensation Claims

Successful work compensation claims due to work premises that are unsafe

An employer is responsible for ensuring that the places where the employees are working are safe. This means if you have an accident while you’re working because you slipped on a floor that was wet or because you tripped on a floor tile that was raised or you fell down some steps that were damaged, you might be able to win a claim against your job.

Successful work compensation claims due to materials or equipment that’s unsuitable

If you were injured at work because the materials or equipment were unsuitable, you may have a case for a workmen’s compensation claim. Even if the accident was caused by materials, equipment or machinery that have been supplied by a different company, your company should ensure that the items are safe for their workers to use and your trained in how to use them.

Successful work compensation claims due to not enough proper training

It’s the responsibility of your employer to take reasonable steps to make sure that you’re able to do your work in a way that’s safe so that you don’t get hurt. An example of this would be if you have to do a lot of heavy lifting, you should be trained how to do it so that you are safe and that you don’t get injured. If you’re not trained, and you get hurt because of it, you may be able to have a claim against your employer.
