    Staying safe whilst on holiday

An injury can spoil a holiday, so you need to do your best to make sure you don’t suffer one. This isn’t always easy, as some injuries aren’t your fault, and when this happens Accident Advice Helpline could help you with a compensation claim. You can do certain things which can mean staying safe whilst on holiday.

    Enjoying your holiday

Booking your accommodation in advance means you get to choose a recommended hotel which has all the facilities you need, and one which takes Health and Safety seriously. Try to choose a place which has good reviews and a good reputation. If a hotel has no recommendations, there’s a reason for it.

Enjoying the sun also means keeping yourself hydrated. While alcohol can help you relax and unwind, too much of it can not only contribute to dehydration, but it can put you at risk. Your reactions will be slower so don’t attempt any water sports if you’ve been drinking.

Excursions are an essential part of any holiday. It’s always nice to get a good deal, but be on your guard. Your hotel will usually have details of reputable companies who run excursions. These companies will usually have insurance and make sure their trips are safe.

Staying safe whilst on holiday to avoid an accident

If you act sensibly while on holiday, you could avoid a nasty accident. If you are injured, but someone else was to blame, Accident Advice Helpline can tell you if you have the right to claim compensation.

Making a claim with us means that you will get the best legal help as we have specialised in personal injury claims for over 15 years. After the expense of paying for a holiday, you won’t have to pay to start a claim with us, as all our claims are made on a no-win, no-fee* basis.

Your claim will be assessed over the phone by one of our professional advisors. They can even give you an estimate of how much your claim could be worth.

    • You are able to claim compensation if someone else caused your accident.
    • You must support your claim with medical evidence, which simply means that you consulted a doctor and received treatment for your injuries.
    • You have a 3-year deadline to start your claim, but you can start it as soon as you like.
