A claim can be made for an injury sustained in an accident at V Festival which will require Staffordshire ‘no win, no fee*’ lawyers
The county of Staffordshire is situated in the West Midlands region in England and the most recent incarnation of the V Festival music event was held in the county. In terms of crime and medical incidents, this year’s event was considered a success with numbers for both decreasing by around a third compared to the previous year. Headliners at this year’s festival included Chic, Blondie, The Killers and Justin Timberlake.
The V Festival in the county is held in the Weston Park site and at last year’s event, a total of 55 crimes were reported to have occurred which is a significant drop compared with 79 crimes the previous year according to police.
In addition, there were only 19 arrests made by police for offences including assault, drunk and disorderly behaviour and drug offences. There was around 60 arrests made in both 2012 and 2013 which represents a significant decrease in this area.
A representative of the police has commented on the improvement by saying that the V Festival brings a huge number of people to the town who want to enjoy themselves but this influx of visitors are also targeted by criminals. He continued by saying that the reduction in the number of crimes is very pleasing.
The most notable medical incident involved three people who received medical treatment after taking some tablets that go by the name of Blue Ghost. According to the Venture Event Medical Management organisation that deals with medical incidents at the festival, this was one of the quietest festivals for them with 871 people being treated for mostly minor injuries such as cuts, bruises and slips.Open Claim Calculator
A total of 21 people were taken to hospital but this was done mostly as a precautionary measure, the medical organisation also said that drug incident numbers were very low but the number of alcohol incidents were similar to previous years.
