If you have an accident that was not your fault and you were injured as a result, then you should contact the solicitors in Haworth Village at Accident Advice Helpline, so they can assist you in making a personal injury compensation claim.

How the ‘No Win, No Fee’ system came about

One of the things that often stops victims making a claim is worrying about having to pay the legal fees. With ‘no win, no fee’ that does not have to be a worry because we take the financial risk of winning your claim, and should you claim be lost, you will not have to pay any money at all.

This came about because for many years only those well off enough to afford the legal fees could make a claim.  This made a bit of a mockery of the UK law that says anyone injured through the fault of someone else can claim compensation, because very fee victims could actually afford to exercise that right.

About the same time as the NHS was introduced so was legal aid and initially, if your income was low enough, you could use that method to make a claim. This helped a few victims but there were still too many who were either not rich enough or poor enough to be able to get the justice they deserved.

In 1998, legal aid for personal injury claims was abolished and from April 2000 the conditional fee agreement was extend to cover them.  Suddenly everyone could make a compensation claim, because finances were no longer a consideration.

The opening of Accident Advice Helpline

Two months after the start of ‘no win, no fee’, we were established, one of the first law firms to use the system.  We have handled all our claims this way ever since because we need to be certain that a victim does not have the stress of how they will pay the bill.

They will have had more than enough stress as the victim of an accident that was not their fault, and we will try to reduce this for them as much as we can. There can be many unexpected expenses after an accident, and finances can be stretched enough already.

When the solicitors in Haworth Village are making the claim, they will ensure that all these extra expenses are claim for, as well as the pain and suffering you have had to endure and for the impact the injury has had on your life.
