Helpful information for slip, trip and fall accidents
Winter wonderlands are very pretty, and the first snow of the season lends a magical feeling to the world. Schools close, the children come out to play and everyone seems a little bit happier. However, after the first day of snow, the night brings another temperature dip, which often freezes the melted snow into a sheet of ice where it hits the pavement. This can mean very slippery surfaces, very dangerous driving conditions and strong possibilities of an accident occurring. Many people will already have had an accident in the snow, so if you do have to go out, take our advice.
If you go out in the snow and ice, as well as wrapping up warmly, do make sure that you are wearing sturdy boots with some grip on them. You can get grips to put on the soles of any of your shoes. If you are using your car you can get special winters tyres to put on that an help maintain grip when the roads are like a skating rink and you’re in danger of performing triple toe loops worthy of the Ice Dance championships at the Winter Olympics!
If the worst has happened and you are one of the hundreds who have had slip, trip and fall accidents in the snow this year then you may well be in need of claims advice for that accident. It doesn’t have to have been an accident in the snow and ice however. You may have been in a car accident as the driver or a passenger, or perhaps you were a pedestrian. If the accident was not your fault and you suffered personal injury then read on.
