    Slip compensation

    What is compensation?

Slip compensation is a payment awarded to a victim of a non-fault accident. Someone who has been hurt or injured during a slip that was caused by the negligence of someone else.

For example if a diner at a restaurant slips on the floor and injures themselves they may be able to make an injury claim. They could receive compensation if it can be proved that the slip could have been avoided. If perhaps the hazard had been clearly signposted, or that the grease or liquid on the floor had been properly cleaned up. Perhaps the grease or liquid on the floor had been ignored by staff and not dealt with appropriately.

Similarly if a customer in a shop or a shopping mall is unfortunate enough to slip within their premises and injure themselves the same approach would be taken. If negligence can be proved and it can be demonstrated that the victim sustained injuries to their person because of inadequate action being taken or no action being implemented then it is highly likely that the victim of the non-fault accident can make an injury claim for their injury, loss and inconvenience.
