"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Sea accident claim

If your job involves working on a cruise ship and as a result of your job, you are injured in an accident that was not your fault, you may be able to make a sea accident claim against your employer using an injury lawyer at Accident Advice Helpline.

All bosses have a legal responsibility to ensure the health and safety of their employees while at work and this would be no different. As an employee of the operators you would be covered by the rules and regulations covering all employers. Like all employees, if you are injured at work through your employers negligence, you may be able to make a sea accident claim for compensation.

Holidaying on a cruise and using an injury lawyer for a sea accident claim

The people who operate cruise ships treat health and safety extremely seriously, they do not want anyone being hurt while on board their vessels. But sometimes accidents do happen and some of these situations may be caused by:

    • Tripping and falling accidents
    • Injuries caused by faulty products in cabins and communal areas
    • Food poisoning
    • Legionnaires disease
    • Cluttered walkways or obstructions
    • Unsecured objects hitting people
    • Wet floor surfaces without warning signs

You may be able to make a sea accident claim, if you are enjoying a cruise holiday and you are injured in an accident that was not your fault.

If you are working or on holiday, an injury lawyer will help with your cruise ship claim

Making a personal injury compensation claim for an accident that happened while holidaying on board a cruise ship is not straightforward. The claim depends on which port the cruise started at, which ports it visited and which port it ended at. The claim would be governed by the rules of either the Athens Convention or Package Travel Regulations. Accident Advice Helpline would check the routes and work out which you are covered under.

The main thing to remember is that you need to make your claim as soon as a possible. When making a sea accident claim you only have 2 years from when it happened, not the 3 that is the norm for personal injury claims.

This might sound complicated, but at Accident Advice Helpline, our solicitors are used to dealing with complex matters, in fact, they thrive on them. They are experienced in all aspects of personal injury compensation claims because that is what they specialise in.

Give us a call on 0800 689 0500 or 0333 500 0993 and speak to one of our friendly advisers. They will discuss every angle of your accident and the resulting injuries and take you through the processes. Once you have had a chat with them, which is free of any obligation on your part, you can decide if you wish to continue with your claim.

Or you could try our 30-second test. This is designed to let you know if you are able to make a claim and if you can, to give you a rough idea of the amount you may receive.
