    Road accident whiplash

    Claim compensation for whiplash

If you have suffered road accident whiplash then you may want to make a compensation claim against the other driver. Although whiplash is rarely fatal, it can be serious and it can be very painful which is likely to make you want some form of compensation for what you have suffered because of the other driver.

Road accident whiplash is one of the most common reasons people claim compensation, so you should be able to get the money you deserve if you know how to get your claim processed.

    Call an ambulance

You will generally get the police involved after a road accident, but calling an ambulance can be key to keeping all of your medical records official when it comes to the injuries you have sustained.

    Keep all medical records

As you are treated you are likely to be given medical reports and certificates as time goes on. Make sure that you keep all of these, and keep them all together so that you have them to hand as and when you need them.

    Get a police report

When the police are present at the scene of an accident they will make a detailed police report which will include everything about your injury and how the accident was caused. You can get a copy of this by going into the police station and simply asking for it. Teamed with your medical certificate this will be the best proof you could have for your injury lawyer.

    Start a claim early

After three years a compensation claim is very unlikely to be successful, so you need to make a start on your claim as early as possible, bearing in mind that you have no way to tell exactly how long it will take for your claim to be processed.
