    Renfrewshire Compensation

Can I claim Renfrewshire compensation if I am a hotel worker?

If you suffer an injury whilst staying at a hotel or B&B, you may be able to make a claim for Renfrewshire compensation if the injury wasn’t your fault. However, it isn’t just guests that could obtain Renfrewshire compensation if an accident occurs. If you work in the hotel, or on the premises, you could also make a claim for Renfrewshire compensation if you were hurt in an accident.

Of course, in order to be eligible to receive Renfrewshire compensation, you will also need to show that you weren’t at fault and that you weren’t responsible for the incident which caused your injuries. Although it’s possible that another guest inadvertently caused your injuries, in many instances, hotel workers may suffer injuries because of their employer’s conduct.

If the building is structurally unsafe or isn’t maintained regularly, hotel owners could put their employees at risk. Similarly, if they fail to adopt appropriate health and safety procedures, employees could suffer unnecessary injuries. Even failing to provide workers with the appropriate equipment and materials to carry out their jobs could result in accidents occurring.

If you’ve been hurt at work and you believe that your employer is at fault, there’s a good chance that you will be able to make a claim for Renfrewshire compensation. By making a claim you may even highlight potentially dangerous practices which could motivate your employers to make the environment safer for other workers and guests.

If you’re forced to take time off work due to your injury, you may receive sick pay from your employer. However, if you don’t and you lose income because of your injuries you may be able to claim this back when you make a claim for Renfrewshire compensation.
