"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Personal injury caused by someone else

Have you suffered a personal injury caused by someone else?

Although it’s easy to injure yourself accidentally, if you suffer a personal injury caused by someone or something else, you may be surprised to learn that you could potentially make a claim for compensation.

Whilst you do have to suffer a personal injury caused by someone or something else in order to be eligible to make a claim, they don’t necessarily have to have intended to cause you harm so there are a variety of situations in which you could potentially make a claim.

For example, if someone or something else caused you to trip or fall and you were hurt, you would have technically suffered a personal injury caused by another person or item and you could go on to make a compensation claim. Similarly, if you suffered a personal injury caused by a road traffic accident which wasn’t your fault, you could potentially go on to make a claim.

You could even make a claim if you suffered a personal injury caused by a faulty or defective product so it doesn’t even have to be another person that caused your injuries in order for you to be eligible to make a claim.

Providing your injury occurred within the last three years and that you suffered a personal injury caused by someone or something else, there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to make a claim.
